When I first moved into Ventana I was a HUGE fan. The management took care of the property as if it was their own. They made effort to learn each resident names, and made each request known the state it was in. If there was a problem, they gave a solution and/or they gave a reason why things were the way they were. I was not aware that this property at the time was having a 3rd party manage it. Within recent weeks, all new staff was brought in. They are not near as friendly as previous management which is surprising considering this is the management that is ACTUALLY supposed to be running the property and not 3rd party. I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT change in appearance of the property grounds. The dumpsters are overflowing with trash, chairs and outdoor furniture are never tidy. Propane in grills ceases to exist half the time. I made it known that the main pools lights have been out at night. I think this is or should be a huge safety concern for the property but they have not replaced and its been 2 weeks. Two out of the three gates to the pool have been locked up with padlocks. Instead of fixing the locks, this is their solution? One of the gates has had a lock since I moved in which has been 6 months. The other gate had no lock and didn't close so I told the office (another safety hazard that could have been reported to the city) and instead of fixing they padlock that one. So now we have one working gate and no response from the office as to why. They look perplexed like they don't even know the gates don't work. I went into the office yesterday and asked the two ladies working if there was someone in charge of tidying up the pool area daily. Abel the previous manager would do it every morning and move the chairs back, wipe down the glass table under the cabana, etc. The response I received was appalling. The girl said she had changed the trash a couple of times and that wasn't her job. I feel like she wanted a pat on the back. I then asked if anyone wipes down the tables and she said no. And then proceeded to come out to the pool a few minutes later and ask us what table? The other two tables are wrought iron. I feel like that was an obvious answer to that question. Even lawn care has slipped through the cracks. I don't know if the new management changed services but they just leave all the clippings on property. It looks trashy. I feel like in a quick 2 weeks, the property that I was proud to call my home and have referred our friends to have turned into the slums of Scottsdale. It's very saddening, I really liked this property. If I owned this property I would really look into what management I have as that can make or break the property.
