Flying in and out of Vegas has changed since they upgraded terminals in 2012. I remember flying in the old terminal that was crowded not as clean and didn't have many food options. Terminal 3 is a huge improvement. It's spacious, has loads of food and shopping and duty free shops. It's clean and of course has good amount of one armed bandits trying to take your last dollar bills out of your pocket by the gate areas. To go from terminal to terminal there is a tram system that works great.
There is always a lot of excitement when you fly in to Vegas of the unknown. Will I make a lot of money on the tables? What fun is in store? There are great restaurants to eat at and explore the town and check out the casinos. Then flying out, most are a little tired-hungover and feeling lighter in the wallet!
Things to beware of:
****the rental car lineup can be horrendous at certain times of the day. I've witnessed it close to 2 hours on a certain night.
*****the taxi cab lineup can be pretty long also. However they seem to have this decently organized with a que line and stations and someone directing people to their cabs.
Have fun, cash out while ahead and be safe and aware of your surroundings late at night!
