  • First of all, I find it hilarious that the good reviews on this site are all from tourists. Take it from someone who's lived here for ten years, and has had to take the bus for eight of them. RTC sucks. This blog below pretty much sums it up but I'll give you my personal opinion/experience anyway (http://vegasrtcsucks.blogspot.com.br/2010/05/welcomemission-statement.html?showComment=1434890055881&m=1): As of today I have had to call in late to work six times in a manner of two weeks because of these bastards. The experience of being stuck at a stop WAY past when there schedule says one will come is not new for me, and I've heard complaints from other people I know as well but I've just recently started documenting it because if I end up losing my job I will do everything in my power to sue. I understand that sometimes things happen (a bus may break down, or some drunken/drug influenced idiot may force the bus to stop) but there is no way that a bus should be fifteen minutes late FAITHFULLY on ANY given day of the week. They try to get people to ride with this Club Ride gimmick but in all honesty of they'd put up some swamp coolers at some of these bus stops, and would come on time, MOST OF THE TIME, then maybe people wouldn't mind riding. As things are now it's like they're trying to force me to get a car when I don't have the money to do so. I remember when a friend of mine actually stood out in the summer heat waiting for a bus for three hours, and ended up walking home because it never showed. When he called the RTC they said that 13 busses should have passed and tried to make it out as though he was lying. Who cares what SHOULD have shown up. The fact of the matter is they didn't! Everyone agrees that the system sucks. Even some of their new drivers! Yet the internet apart from the blog above makes them look pretty much squeaky clean. The sad part is almost five years since this blog, and not a damn thing has changed. In fact, the only reason they probably even took the time to respond to that blog post is because they weren't able to remove it since they didn't have administrative privileges. I remember when they first created their Facebook page. It was pretty much blank apart from a couple complaints that were left, and not responded to. It's bullshit, and something needs to be done about it. This morning even, I desperately checked the schedules on their website seeing if perhaps I can maybe just get up an hour earlier to take a different route (even though I already get up at 3:00AM on Sunday's, and 3:15AM Mon-Thurs to be at work by 6:00AM). Not only am I getting up in enough time necessary to catch the bus by when they say it should be there, but I noticed that two of the busses I normally take to get to work (one or the other depending on the route) doesn't even have my stop listed at all!!! They really need to get it together because I swear if I lose my job over their silly games I will do everything in my power to ruin them, and that's not a threat, it's a promise.
