Graydon Hall and its garden is absolutely beautiful and elegant and I can't really imagine holding our wedding and reception anywhere else. It was the first venue we visited and none of the other venues we visited afterwards could compare. There are certain aspects of the manor that may require some repairs but overall it is a gorgeous gem that is tucked in around apartment buildings.
We had a rough time with planning our wedding with Graydon Hall. From the time we signed the contract to the actual wedding, our event coordinator changed 3x over 14 months. It was pretty unsettling and people changing jobs can't be avoided but it definitely reaffirmed that we needed to hire our own wedding planner because we couldn't rely solely on the GHM coordinator to take care of everything. We also found the turnaround time for email responses were a bit slow and could sometimes takes weeks, and then response times were better closer to the date. GHM is also not very flexible in terms of negotiating anything.
The food is delicious and the portion sizes are HUGE. All of our guests were impressed by the meal and we were pleased that everything was exactly the same as our tasting. The wait staff is also incredibly attentive and made sure lunch was served quickly and smoothly.
While we had some hiccups during the planning process, the day itself was still executed perfectly and we couldn't be happier with how amazing our wedding day turned out.
