| - I'd been going to Arizona Premier Dental Group since I moved to AZ in 2008, I've had crowns and root canals done there and no issues with those. However, this last visit was something else. I have dental insurance, but admittedly have not been in for 18 months or so for a cleaning so I was expecting some cavities. Instead I'm lectured by the dentist for a few minutes about my poor maintenance, then advised that I need 2 new root canals and 2 new crowns plus crown lengthening on both. As I sat there stunned and upset, he continued to tell me how it was preventable. I asked if something was worse than the other to prioritize, but was advised they are all needed right away. I was then escorted to the lobby while I awaited my "treatment plan". The young girl called my name and asked me how I was doing today, then when I replied that I could be better she laughed and began going over all the charges. She told me I'd need to pay $2500 out of pocket, offerred no explanation for the uncovered costs. I advised that I couldnt come up wtih that now, so she just handed me a copy of the plan and told me to have a great day...no payment options, no priortizing the plan, no customer service whatsoever. I'm now happily with a new dentist and I'll never look back - my new plan - NO root canals and only 900 out of pocket.
