My friend and I went to Grand Canyon West Rim with Grand Canyon Tour Company for Do-It-All on 25th May. We spent more time waiting than touring.
1. We waited more than 20 minutes in the morning at the hotel to be picked up by the coach.
2. We waited half an hour on the coach for our tour guide to fetch bus tickets and sky walk tickets. By the time we got off the bus, it was already 11:30 am. The tour guide told us to be back to the coach before 2:30pm, which left us only 3 hours for sightseeing. I remember the company promises 4 hours in Canyon in their advertisement on the website.
3. We waited for 2 hours to get on the helicopter and the boat. By the time we got back from airplane, it was already 2:00 pm.
4. We waited more than 1 hour for those late people to be back to the bus. In order to be back to bus on time, we sacrificed ALL viewing points in the canyon.The tour guide/driver did NOTHING but sitting in her driver's seat. She could have gone out and reached those late people! Unfortunately, she did NOTHING.
5. The customer service guy gave me a negative attitude. I phoned the customer service to complain. But the guy was insisting that they did nothing wrong. The coach being late was the city's traffic's fault. Hours of waiting for helicopter and the boat was because the park was busy. People being late was their bad. There was nothing that the tour guide/driver and the tour company could do. My friends and I were so furious at his reponse.
It was such a disappointing day.
