| - I've tried a few of these boutique fitness gyms (F45, SoulCycle, Barry's) recently and this is by far my favourite.
It's not as luxe as Barry's, which has marble counters in a very spacious bathroom and hair appliances, but I love FF's workout.
Note: I highly recommend bringing a friend/partner. You pair up with someone at the beginning of class, try to find someone quick so you're not the odd one out if it's an odd class. Having someone to do the workouts with holds you accountable.
Prior to the workout they'll call you to the front of the class with a few tips if it's your first time.
Workout:
You start your workout altogether. Prepare for some push-ups, some jogging on the spot, and some jumping jacks.
They will group the entire class into about 4-5 groups. You will rotate together. Within every station there are usually two different activities. So while you are doing 2 reps, 4 rep, and then 6 reps of something, your partner will be focused on doing something else. And then you switch. The instructor will let you know when it's time for your instructor to rotate stations. I found that when you rotated stations they would be different (you wouldn't have to do the same activities again but this could vary with class).
Possible exercises: burpies, kettle bells, ladders, pushups, squats, lunges. It really changes every time.
Change Room:
Try not to arrive too last minute or else you might have difficulty finding a locker. You also have to bring your own locker it's not included, unlike some of the other gyms. It's also a lot smaller, so you might have to squeeze through as people change.
