| - Happiness - 2.5/5
Deliciousness - 4/5
I've been here several times and always want to like it more than I do. But at the end of the day, 3-stars is how it ends up.
We arrived and the place smells fantastic. It is literally mouth-watering. The ambiance, especially when everything is opened on a nice day, is fantastic.
We were told that we had ten minutes left on the happy hour (which is fantastic, good assortment of drinks, apps, and entrees). We said we'd need a minute and our waiter disappeared for about 20 minutes. He said he'd sneak us onto the happy hour prices, but was confused when we reminded him about it at the end of the meal.
The food is quite good (although I wish the portions were a little bigger). We ordered the fresh baked bread, which is a must here. I had a really good fish dish (fortunately, I ordered the sauce on the side. It was not my cup of tea...er... sauce). And I even thoroughly enjoyed the quinoa that came with it (which is a rare occurrence). My wife got a flatbread that smelled better than it tasted. Our other guests seemed pretty happy with their meals. That said, nothing blew me away.
On this occasion, it was so slow. The waiter forgot one of our drinks (a fairly expensive shot of tequila), and it took us over 40 minutes to get our food after when we ordered. No real excuse was given for what took so long. And our food was all delivered at different times. That was all the more unfortunate as we had an event to get to afterwards, for which we were late.
