While branded as a Marriott, it really isn't exactly a true Marriott. It geared towards conventions.
Pro's:
+ No resort fee
+ You don't have to take a long walk through a smokey casino
+ Location, location, location: Depending on how fast you walk, it is less than 10 minute to the Convention Center, a bus stop servicing many of the bus lines, including the Deuce and SDX, and the monorail. The last two are relatively cheap, but a bit more timely options to the strip. Lyft is a quicker ride, but will cost you about $13, depending on demand and tip.
+Gym- Decent size with multiple machines and free weights
+ Business center- small but efficient with a working printer
+ Wifi - decent connection when using the higher speed connection that is free for Gold Elites and above
+ Rooms - much larger than I would have imagined
+ Beds- Extremely comfortable
+Shower- decent high and water pressure
+ Friendly Staff
Con's:
- The heater - Yes it sometimes get cold. The heater didn't seem to work and just blew cold air
- Concierge Lounge- They don't have one, but they do offer the buffet breakfast for free
- Restaurant - Laughable on their high prices, but you need to go to the strip for a better choice of restaurants. The only "close" option is a Italian restaurant located next door
- Noise - the plumbing was loud
Overall it is a good place to stay if you are looking to have a more relaxing stay while being relatively close to the strip.
