| - So I decided to give this place a try based off a review from one of my friends and I was a little skeptical going in but I definitely left a super fan!!!!
So let's get down to business, first off the building is hard to find because it's tucked in on the back side of the complex and across from Chicago brewery, the reason I was able to find it was they put their food truck in the parking lot which helps a lot. So upon walking in it has a very upbeat vibe with a couple of tv's and some top 40 music and some articles about the business and where it has been featured which is pretty cool so you can see the journey.
So since my friend rated it so highly I really wanted to try everything on the menu but I settled for a Carne Asada fry, chicken wings , and a philly cheese steal hot dog . So let's start with the hot dog- it was packed with toppings and meat and was more than a mouthful and very flavorful. The presentation was just like the picture and it had a little Asian zing with the type of green onions they use, it is a quality dog but if I had to choose it was the bottom 3 of the items I had and I say that with high regards for the dog since it was fantastic! Next was the wings- so they had 2 flavors on the menu I never tried before which was soy Carmel and spicy Korean and I could not decide and my inner turmoil must have shown on my face because the nice clerk said he would do half and half which was the best thing he could have told me :). So the soy Carmel was so delicious and Carmely ( if that's even a word) and was almost like a dessert which was different and amazing all at the same time and the spicy Korean was lightly breaded with a nice crisp and was more mild but exploded with flavor, definitely a must try.
Now on to the highlight of the trip....... the carne Asada fries. Now I'm thinking there is no way a hot dog Asian-flair place can make a carne Asada fry taste right , but boy was I wrong. The fries were nice and crispy with a light crunch but not over done and topped with tons of meat, cheese , special house sauces , green onions, and Carmelized onions. It's hard to even describe the combination of flavors that explode with every bite, from the slight spice of the chipotle aioli to the seasoning of the meat to the Asian style crunchy green onions, I must say I was highly impressed and everything came together and was married perfectly. The portion sizes are big and you will definitely leave full and satisfied and the staff was very nice.
I can see why this place has so many 5 stars and I will be back to try more items after I digest all this flavorful goodness
