  • This is a review of the bar only - I'll review the food another time. The thing is, the bar is the star here. We return to this little gem again and again because the craft cocktails are hands-down, the BEST in Phoenix. Every drink on the menu is hand crafted with the utmost gourmet style and fresh, house-made, impeccably-sourced ingredients. The bar staff is faultlessly trained and knowledgeable, not to mention friendly and welcoming. If you're lucky, you'll get to witness a training session; the owner imparts the history of rum from all over the world to his team. He knows every nuance, from how they are made and aged, to how to pair them in ways your palate has never experienced. It's a flavor adventure no matter what you order, but try the Rum Old Fashioned. It's the best we've ever had. Honorable mention to the piña colada; it's absolutely outstanding... not too sweet like most others you've had, and the real coconut, both in the mix, and as a garnish, makes it transcendent. On a cool evening, try the from-scratch hot buttered rum. It's so rich, luscious and complex, you'll be transported to an island paradise.
