  • I found the staff working pretty helpful and they had what I was looking for. My only concern is that the website was misleading about prices. They show you the price then they ask you to look for it in-store. I assumed the in-store price would be the same, and no where was it visible enough that the prices online are not the same in-store. I actually wasted my time going to the store instead of just ordering online as the manager was pretty useless and unaccommodating when it came to price matching the online store, not to mention quite blunt and not friendly, almost annoyed that I needed to speak to her. The reason she gave me was because they are in competition with the online store. I find this quite odd as most stores I've shopped at (Future Shop, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc.) all price match their competition. Indigo wouldn't even consider it and flat out said nope. I don't see a reason to ever buy the book in-store since the online prices are always cheaper. I ended up buying it online but only because Amazon would've taken too long to ship the books I was looking for. I find this policy ridiculous, especially since I was misled into the store as there was no clear indication that stores charge full price and the discount is only available online. I guess I should read the fine print more but for something like this I didn't even think to. Now I know that Indigo are con artists. The only reason I can't wait is because it's a Christmas gift, but I'm never shopping with Indigo again, be it online or in-store. They are misleading online and they don't act like they appreciate my business when I'm in the store. I don't appreciate their rude and dishonest business model and policies and will never buy from them again, be it online or in-store. It's best to support local businesses, but if I have to buy big box, I've definitely always had positive experiences shopping through Amazon and would've preferred to buy through them, but unfortunately I couldn't wait this time around because Christmas is just around the corner.
