  • Left our 13-year-old dog with KoPC for three days because we had a last-minute trip dropped in our laps. It was the first time we didn't have someone stay at our home to watch the dog. I was concerned because our old guy is very emotionally needy and can develop nervous ticks and stress behaviors at the slightest hint of what he considers trouble. What an amazing experience for us AND the pooch. The staff clearly love dogs. I can sense insincerity a mile away, but these folks are just plain dog crazy! When I arrived with the dog, the owner walked around the entire premises, allowing him to get comfortable with sites, smells and sounds. Since he was pet-sitting for us in his home, he came by the house to meet the dog before our trip and help both of them get comfortable with each other. Our old guy came home in as good, if not HAPPIER, a state than when he left. It's clear that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. No hint of stress or other problems. These are people who absolutely love their jobs.
