| - OMG what a difference a year made. Oct. 2012 we special ordered a Mustang. We found Barret Germundson to be honest, funny and as trust worthy as a car salesman can be. He kept in contact through the whole process. SOOO, this past Oct. 2013 we needed to find a pick up for my husband. First off I didn't need my name on the truck so only my husband filled out the credit papers. Well when I got home that day I was notified that Autonation had pulled my credit. When I asked Barret, he said that was a mistake, even though my husband had filled out a credit form they used our old one from the previous year. THAT my friends is against the law. Barret blamed it on "Chuck". I don't care who's fault it is--it was wrong. Anyway my husband starts to look for a specific truck. My husband has a hard time making up his mind. We found what he wanted but it was at a different dealer. No problem they said. This was on a Sunday. Was told mayyybe it would be at Autonation Monday-but more than likely not til Tues. I said my husband was having surgery on Thurs. so it needed to be in by Wed. as he couldn't drive after that. The truck was only across town, not across the nation. Wed. came and went---Barret had left for vacation but he had given the info to "Ward" to handle. I waited a couple more days then left a message on Ward's phone that we were wondering what was going on with the purchase. He never got back to us--so we waited a couple more days and went back in. We had Ward paged, we were not happy. Ward never answered his page, but he walked into the office, past all of the 'jokers' at the front desk who had just paged him and no one said anything to him. I was getting pissed, I had a migraine. I went and talked to an older guy in an office and he told me Ward was in the office. Finally I talked to Ward, he did a great job pretending he knew nothing of our truck., but boy would he get it resolved. In the meantime my husband found a truck that was already at Autonation Ford Scottsdale and he asked if he could swap it out and just pay more. Ward at first said no--we already signed the contract. Now keep in mind that there is a 3 day change your mind law, since we hadn't been able to pick up the truck we knew we had the right to cancel that contract. Even though it had been a week. He went to ask the "manager" who told him we could switch. By then Ward decided to pass us off to yet another salesman. This time it was Richie, a nervous, twitchy character who kept saying he new nothing about what was happening to us but would try and help. We got the truck and it was being washed--looked like we would have it that day. But in the meantime Barret had promised us Ford hats and floor mats to make up for pulling my credit. For some reason we couldn't go back to sales/service and get the stuff that day. Richie called and left a message that he would be working the next day and to come in and pick up the stuff. He never left the hours he was working, Dave had called him and said what time we would be there on his answering machine. We got there and Ward again had to help us as Richie didn't get in til 1. We got the hats, but believe it or now they had NO car mats in stock! This has been one hell of a venture and one we will NOT be making again. Not sure what happened to this place, but we are not happy.
