  • You remember that scene in Sopranos when Toni and Paulie go to Italy, so excited for the Italian food? But once they are there, everything on the menu seems foreign to Paulie? This is what I imagine some Italians must feel after coming to this pizza joint. It is a cute restaurant located in Little Italy, and there are usually lines outside. It has a family run feel, and has been there since 1948. There are plenty of selection of both pizzas and pastas. We sampled both pizzas and pastas, and didn't feel like either were exceptional in any way. The pizza crust tasted store bought, and the pasta was bland and creamy. It wasn't what I was hoping for, but maybe that is because everyone has told me that the best pizza in Montreal is found here, and I guess I was a lot disappointed. And the house-made tiramisu was so wrong, we couldn't even finish it. It is a very family friendly spot, and the service felt uneven. One other thing, you should BYOW, which again made me feel very very far away from Italy.
