  • I was so excited to finally make the trek to Willy to try the Weary Traveler. I've been itching to eat here for a while and Friday I was finally able to do so. We got there around 7 and the place was packed. We put our name in with the host (a little hard to find him by the way) and waited for about a half hour for our table. One complaint is that there isn't much room to wait. Yes, you can sit at the bar but otherwise you're stuck behind the curtain by the door that people are walking in and out of. I realize this is probably something that is unavoidable since the space isn't that big to begin with. It's just the one thing I didn't enjoy too much. Once we were seated I decided to try the Wisconsin Cherry Seltzer. It was super refreshing and not too sweet. I really enjoyed it. One of my friends decided to order a cup of the Tom Ka Tofu soup which was AMAZING. I will return here just to order bowls and bowls of this soup! Not too sweet with just the right amount of heat. It was so yummy. For my meal I ordered the Med plate. I wasn't super hungry and hummus sounded good. It was plenty of food for me and came with a pretty large salad, some hummus and tabbouleh and homemade pita bread. The salad was yummy as was the hummus and tabbouleh. I wish they gave you more pita bread however - 5(ish) slices was just not enough to eat up all of the yummy things on that plate! My friend and I decided to order a slice of the Tres Leches cake to finish off our meal. I am so glad we did, it was delicious. The cake was sweet and not soggy at all, and the whipped cream was very clearly homemade. It was a wonderful way to end the meal. The price is right, the food is good, and the space is super cool. It took me too long to get here the first time and I can guarantee it won't take me as long to come back.
