"can i have earl grey?"
"we actually have 3!"
and so began my chipper experience with the pleasant server behind the counter. she let me smell each earl grey variant, and i chose the original. we continued to banter for a few minutes, and i found the servers so pleasant and wonderful that i wanted to leave a tip, but there's no tip jar!?!
anyway, up to that point, 5 stars. BUT the earl grey was really horrid. i think the leaves they gave me were extremely weak, because it looked to be the right amount, but no amount of steeping could rescue the cup.
i think an earl grey (or whatever your favorite tea is) is the way to test a tea shop. and so far david's fails to deliver. they get 3 because of the *excellent* service. i'll try it one more time and i hope they hit it out of the part.
