Maybe it's the photocopy chemicals, but I sometimes get the feeling that people working at print shops are irritated. I often feel rushed or brushed off, scoffed at for my lack of design or computer skills and certainly not given much personal attention.
My experience at TPH on University Ave was totally different. Kathryn, the warm and professional manager was both efficient and kind. She spoke directly and gave me a quote immediately for my printing job (140 small booklets that I was bringing to a conference). She also gave me the time to think through how I wanted my booklet printed and offered some helpful suggestions. Not only was Kathryn uber professional, but they had my booklets ready for me before I asked for them (I had asked for the next day, they had it done in a matter of hours). Prices were reasonable, too.
Additionally, they have in-house designers who are there to help make your documents look great - something you rarely get at a print shop.
This is the first TPH location I've been to, but I can strongly recommend this location. They are friendly, professional, fast and (as far as I've experienced) do excellent quality work.
