  • Yes, I'm a 7 months old kitten. I was thoroughly enjoying my life of royalty in my new home with two loyal servants. Recently I was picked up (without petting), put into my royal carriage (a cardboard box!), and taken to Cachet Village Animal Hospital. The ladies at the front desk were quite excited over my Ragdoll cuteness, much more so than the clinic's resident cat. I was efficiently checked and interviewed by one of their animal technicians. She reviewed my certifications and medical records. I was quickly weighed and measured. My only complaints are the cold exam table, bright fluorescent lights, and I could hear a dog in the room next door. I was given a free toy to play with while I waited for the veterinarian. Surely there is vaccination needle with my name on it. Dr. Braganza came in after a few minutes. She already reviewed my records and even knew my name. She had a calm voice, gentle and experienced hands to alleviate my initial apprehensions. She proceeded to examine me from nose to tail, ears to toes while talking to my staff. The discussion covered a wide variety of topics about kitten diet, growth, fur (which I am very proud of), and cat litter (equally proud of). Still no needle in my butt. She checked my eyes and teeth. There was something about bathing and brushing my teeth (Do I have fish breath?), immediately followed by something about trimming my claws. Flea (What are those?), and parasite tests were discussed, but I was busy with the toy. My staff ran out of questions, and were pleased with her answers. I protested when I was put back into my carriage, but then my toy was quickly included. The ladies at the front were still excited to see me, but the clinic's cat was asleep. They processed the exam payment which was about the cost of 2 bags of premium cat food (only the best). It was a good visit and I was lucky to escape without a needle this time, but another visit was recommended in 12 months. Pretty good, that's 7 human years. Way too long for me to stay out of trouble. Got to go. Someone is coming. I'm not allowed on the bed or the computer.
