The Vapor Social is a vapor lounge on College. It's up a flight of stairs and has gendered bathrooms. They offer convenience store-style snacks that are generally not vegan. This vapour lounge allows joints to be smoked as well as vaporizer and using oil rigs.
My friend and I went to the Vapor Social before a show downstairs at Faith/Void. As soon as we entered, we could feel a weird vibe. The place was set up similar to a drop in or community centre; lots of small, almost cafeteria style tables in one giant area. There was a flat screen with a large group of guys watching in silence. Out of the 30 people there, my friend and I were two of the four women in attendance that also includes the woman who was running the place. It felt weird. I will say that the women's bathroom was very nice, and was obviously under-used.
We paid our five dollars cover and were THEN informed that it didn't include any kind of bong, ring or vaporizer. Those rentals cost extra. They did have lots of rolling papers available for free, but I've never paid cover at a vapour lounge and not received anything to smoke with.
As a whole, I would describe visiting the Vapor Social on a Saturday as a lady and her lady friend was a weird experience. I have no plans to return.
