| - Update:
Had the same alterations done on a different dress with similar fabric at a another alterations place. It was $30 cheaper. Quality was also comparable. Will likely not return here.
Let me preface this review by saying I have zero concept of how much alterations should cost. Before visiting The Fit, my only experience with alterations was my wedding dress. I spent $90 to have my wedding dress taken in three different times, hemmed, have cups added, and the bustle added. Admittedly, the alterations where done where I bought my wedding dress, so maybe I got some kind of price break. Still, when I had to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed and have cups added to it for a wedding I was in, I figured The Fit's price would be less than my wedding dress alterations.
I was wrong.
When then tailor rang me up at $90 and change, I wanted to cry. It just seemed like such a crazy amount. Again, I know nothing about alterations, so maybe that's totally normal, but it just doesn't seem like there would be $90 worth of work to do such minor alterations.
Aside from the stick shock, the alterations looked great and were done timely. I'll probably shop around a bit more next time I need alterations to see if anyone else can do it cheaper, but if the prices were similar elsewhere, I'd come back here.
