Ah the things we do for husbands. Like most guys, my husband wanted nothing more for his birthday than to sit around eating carb loaded foods with a huge stein of beer in front of him. This place did not disappoint.
We went on a Saturday night around 6:30 and we walked right up to the hostess stand. No joke though. Two minutes later I turned around and the line was out the door. This place was PACKED.
We were seated pretty promptly and were lucky enough to score one of the booths that flank the main hall. PERFECT seating to watch the debauchery.
The menu is pretty much what you expect. I've been to HB Munich, and this place wasn't much difference. One HUGE difference though. This German girl did not appreciate that the schnitzel was pork not veal.
Service was great despite the ridiculous amount of people in there. There was some sort of ski contraption that people were taking shots from. Provides more and more amusement as the night goes on!
There was a guy singing actual German music for most of the evening. Once it got later though the band came on. They play cover songs. Strangely enough quite authentic as Germans LOVE our cover songs.
The place also has a little shop to buy souvenirs inside in case you want to buy some HB souvenirs.
