| - Back in April or May, I decided it was time to do something about the way I looked and went searching for a gym. I found this one online, and as I read through the amenities, I thought it was going to be well worth the price. $20 month for a gym? Sold! I signed up online, which stated when I come in, I'll get the grand tour of where everything is and someone will go over the details of my newly-formed account. The next day, I went to the gym. It was a tad further than I thought it would be (but that's not the reason for the rating, that's on my part). Grand tour? Didn't happen as promised. The person at the front counter gave me everything I needed and provided a "tour" by pointing to where everything was (this was after I had asked where could I find everything). I realize I came in on a Saturday, but it's not an excuse. I expected full service I was promised online. The next day, I had decided to cancel my membership. They tried to get me to pay some sort of cancellation fee, but per the contract I read over, I was still within my grace period, so they waived it. They, however, could not waive the monthly membership fee because it was already starting to process. I think they could have done something about it, but whatever. It's done. I won't be going back, even if you build a location closer to me. The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because they knew I was right (after speaking to management) about waiving the cancellation fee. If I could give one and a half stars, I would. The employees here need better training if they are going to continue to be in business. Had you lived up to your promises and gave me what I was told online, I probably would have stayed with you, even though you're 8 miles away, one way.
