  • OUR. KITCHEN. IS. AWESOME. We bought our home in 2009 and the huge kitchen was a big feature despite the "builder's special" boring oak cabinets. American Cabinet Solutions was one of four companies to bid the reface job. josh, the owner, showed up, measured, listened for a few minutes then sent a very reasonable estimate which ended up also being the final price. The others - well, they can run their businesses however they want, but all three sent a sales person who spent more time selling than listening and their estimates were way too high - in one case more than double Josh's cost. The old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly applies - I didn't feel the need to pay a salesperson's commission or operating costs for a business located in Taxlifornia. We went with the local small-business owner who puts his reputation on the line every time and gets personally involved with the work. The end results are even better than we imagined. Another unusual but welcome feature - the crew showed up on time, took great care in their work, communicated with us throughout, and even put up with our dog :-) . Josh also finished a set of night stands for us and they now match the rest of our bedroom furniture perfectly. Our Master Bath is the next project. I don't know who is going to handle the tile work, but I definitely know who will be handling the cabinetry.
