| - Greeeaat fun! I had minimal experience in salsa and was able to jump right in to Rueda de Casino night on Friday. The only part I disliked was that the instructor moved a little fast and didn't seem to really account for newcomers. Although, to be fair, I don't think it was a night for newcomers. However, everyone was very accommodating for the most part. However, like most forms of ballroom dancing there are always going to jerks, cocky, arrogant rooster males and crabby older females who were upset that you don't know the moves they've been practicing for a year lol, what can you do.
For newcomers, I would not recommend going on the Friday nights because it is mostly Rueda, and you'll be struggling to keep up with it, unless you're used to Rueda. After it's a relaxed social dance, but don't expect too many amateurs or young people on Fridays. I am in my mid 20's and was easily the youngest person there. Ages ranged from late 20's to early 60's.
Despite some snobs and crabby old folks, I really had a lot of fun, one veteran even gave my friend some intro step lessons. I would highly recommend this club, based solely on the vibe, however, I may be unreliable as I only went on the one Friday night.
