Was on a mission to buy our three kids outfits for upcoming pictures that we were having taken. We were hoping that we would find something unique in this store. We had our newborn baby with us as well as my two year old daughter. My daughter picked up a pair of TOMs shoes and proceeded to try and put them on. I understand that her boots were on however they were dry as we carried her and it was not right for her to take the shoes off the display but SHE'S TWO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. My husband asked her to not step on the shoes and put them back to the counter when the "store manager" an older man came over barking about how he wouldn't be able to sell the shoes if she stepping all over them. He proceeded to grab these TOM's and put the behind the counter and we left the store promptly because I didn't want my daughter to be exposed to such rudeness. As my husband shopped at another store, I returned to Mari Pier Bimbi and spoke with the man that was working there. I told him that I wanted the owner's number, name and his name. He then proceeded to yell at me in the store and tell me why it was wrong to let kids come in the store and touch the clothing. How the heck are you suppose to sell kids clothing if you don't let them try it on...let alone touch it? Anyhow, bottom line is SERVICE IS TERRIBLE at best. I will NEVER EVER return there. I don't want to hear about the bad economy, how someone accidentally spilled coffee on a dress that you had displayed...this unfortunately is part of the way retail works. Don't be an asshole to your customers if the economy is bad. It's not their fault stores are struggling. And for the most part, people are not evil and wanting to "ruin your clothing". If stores are struggling...it's a reflection of the entire economy...not just your store!
Anyhow...enough said...I will not return to the store and advise anyone who likes to be treated like shit to please walk in here...especially with a manager that is as "charming" as this idiot.
