I would have given 4 stars and called myself a fan if it weren't for the lackluster employees. It is not a cheap hotel and for what the price is, they should be able to employee higher quality staff and maybe pay them a bit more to do a better job.
The bellmen were super nice but you have to wonder what kind of person is over 40 and still working for hourly wage and tips. The desk staff were also nice but in an ignorant way. There were a few people I dealt with who were good but some of them were just sorta out of it. I had to go in multiple times from the parking deck to have them scan my ticket again to let me out of the parking deck. For 20 dollars I shouldn't have to ever walk back inside after being told my paid ticket is invalid at the gate. And the next day before I checked out my key card would not run the elevator. So I walked back to the desk to have them reactivate it. They messed that simple task up because it still would not let me run the elevator. So the third time the desk person walked with me over to the elevator with my bum key to do it herself. Well surprise surprise it didn't work for her either. Did they think I was an idiot and just not sticking the card in correctly???? Apparently. So that person said it must be scratched (yeah right) and she gave me a new card to let me into my room and elevator. All this after 15 minutes of them being slow and really not on their game at all. But giving them the benefit of the doubt, it wasn't for a lack of trying. They just didn't seem intelligent. Oh well. They were nice... soooo... that's something.
All that said, the rooms were fantastic... but as always with Starwood, the HD TVs take forever to change the channel. That's always annoying. But it is what it is.
Oh and there's a great bar in the lobby that opens at 4:30pm. There's no coffee shop near by but the little one in the lobby is nice except for it's hours (5:30am-1 and 1:30-4pm i think).
