  • My husband and I were only in town for a day so that we could get some reno's going on a property we have down there. After stopping at Home Depot, Lowes and RC Willy first, we decided to pop in here and just see what they had to offer. Walking in it almost seemed like the staff wasn't interested in getting business, but nevertheless we were able to find a sample and the employee/manager? helped us crunched some numbers and gave us the lowest estimate of the day, winner. After getting home I called and booked a measurement which was done same day and was pretty close to the estimate which was satisfying. I went ahead and paid for the installation and since other work was being done on the property at that time, I scheduled the actual appointment for the following month. All of that was fine and dandy, but then we started having issues. The installation which again, was booked a month out, was suppose to only take a day. A few days went by and I had assumed the job was done, a friend of ours swung by to give us and update and informed us that not only was the job still in progress and they left a bit of a mess, but that they had chipped a tile in our kitchen and immediately sent us pictures. Granted we had just been in the property 2 days earlier and no one had been in since, and it was spotless, when I followed up with the company they listened patiently on the phone and told me to send the pictures in the email. the response was what set me off He told me they were not at fault for the chip because the tiles were already "loose" (NOPE they weren't - we had a contractor working on other areas of the house and he confirmed this wasn't the case) Also, it was mentioned that they ran out of carpet....which is strange considering I booked the job a month out, plenty of time to check your inventory.. and I also got a rude response regarding the mess. Granted, when they first measured there was a lot of garbage that was left behind by a previous tenate BUT this was completely cleaned up prior to them being there, It caught me off guard because of course I didn't expect them to clean up any other messes, just their own which is what I mentioned in the email- that they in particular had left a mess and would hope they would pick up after themselves.... LONG story short, the one day job took 2 weeks and I have a chipped tile. I want to use them again if I need their services because their prices were the best in the area, but I would hope for a bit more professionalism from the moment I walk into their business until the completion of the job.
