  • Now, this is the way doughnuts should taste! As soon as you bite into one, you realize that this is going to be a tasty experience. My intent was to eat one doughnut but, of course, that didn't turn out as planned. We ordered four doughnuts and got them in a to-go box, with the plan to take two home and to enjoy one each in the shop. Well, I ended up taking the empty to-go box back up to the counter, with my apologies, and the fellow laughed and said, "Hey, don't worry about it. You're not the first one to do that!" I had to laugh. I bet I wasn't the first. Like I say, these doughnuts are something special and a real treat. I had a marshmallow gooey s'mores doughnut that was so delish, along with a lemony one. But, I'm on a mission to try the maple and bacon one next time. I also spotted what looked like a sugar coated jelly-filled doughnut and made a "note to self" to try that next time too. Luckily, the shop is quite a distance from home. Good thing!
