| - I was meagerly impressed. 1/2 of the buildings were closed at their high season when we arrived in early August 2016. The cost was NOT 1865 prices NOR were the 2016 prices. $33.00 for 1 senior + 1 adult. We were directed to the pavilion to eat, costs there were no more impressive $23.00 = 2 sm. bags of potatoes chips, 2 pop, 2 burgers. Astronomically ridiculous.
The site had no running brook, stream, or water at all. No saw mill with the water wheel, no birds, a scarecrow dressed better than costumes worn by staff, if you could find staff.
Friendly, yes, but very atrociously expensive for what little in return.
Not wheel chair accessable, NO where did I see handicapped people accommodated.
I will never return to this place ever again in my entire life, even if it were FREE.
The most difficult part of our trip out was trying to leave. There were NO parking attendants available, we had a terrible time getting out because our ticket was not accepted after being paid for hence gate would not open. We paid twice to get out, like we really wanted to leave this place and never visit again. It was a nightmare, a waste of money, a waste of time and energy.
