  • So, I usually use Yelp for posting positive reviews of business, mainly restaurants. I have actually filed a complaint with the BBB about the Canyons, and since they have had a lack of response, which lowers their BBB rating (if they even have one), I now feel compelled to post about them wherever I can, and where anyone will listen. I will not bore anyone with a long drawn out story, and there are multiple reasons I think these apartments, well, suck. When we were moving out the gates closed on our uhual truck, since the sensor didn't recognize it. Luckily I purchased uhual insurance and they paid for it, but because of that they kept my deposit for 2 months. I moved in July and just got my deposit back yesterday. Which is whatever, but they way they handled it and the way they treated me and my fiance was horrifying. The leasing agent said that my fiance "hit and ran", because after the gate opened back up he pulled into our parking spot. Really? This is a criminal act appearently. I could go on, but you get the picture. The apartments themselves are not terrible, but as Larry said, they try to super impress you with really stupid things (hummer golf carts, who cares if the leasing agents drive in luxury?). The gym is new and very, very nice by apartment standards. The complex sold me to renew my least last year by pointing out the fact that cox cable and internet was included free with the apartment so moving would not save me money. Two months later they decided to no longer pay for Cox, so yeah, it really felt switch and baity. There is scorpions, which has been a common complaint for years. And as Larry said, they are ridiculously disorganized. They actually lost an addedum to my lease showing I purchased a pet and paid a $400 pet deposit. I made them go through their records of all the payments I made to them to prove I paid it. Obviously most apartments are not great, you are hardly ever going to walk away saying, wow, apartment living and leasing agents are amazing. But there are so many more complexes in the area that provide a similar living situation for cheaper rent. They advertise as luxery and price based on that, but it's in the methy part of Deer Valley, and certainly there is nothing luxurious about the complex. Ok, I'm done, I've said my peace.
