  • We generally have a spa day to cap off our stay in Vegas, regardless of how exciting, rewarding, or drunk-tastic it had been earlier in the trip. Our latest trip-capper happened to be a spa located inside the Hard Rock Hotel, which happens to be away from The Strip. Staying true to the Hard Rock Hotel theme, guests enjoyed the serene sounds of famous rock songs in the form of piano, guitar, or strings. Before I left, I realized that they have the music for sale in CD. They are 17.50 each. I didn't get any special massage treatment, so I can't speak on that. As for the spa itself, it was nice. I got the usual tour of the place and liked what I saw. The steam room definitely kept getting hotter and hotter, which was a fun, twisted little challenge for me. The human body is a lot more resilient than people can imagine. In between sessions in the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and shower, I lounged in the TV & Magazine area keeping up with some of my sports teams. For the rest of our time there, our group convened in the communal pool between the male and female areas of the spa. We ended up staying until it closed. Felt slightly bad for the staff that we were still there by the time they were getting ready to close up some parts of the spa, but we were so relaxed and could have probably stayed for longer. FYI: - It's so easy to spend an entire day here. - Make sure you drink PLENTY of water, as it's easy to get dehydrated, especially sweating so much in that steam room. - Everything is provided for you, even sandals and plastic bags. - Read the signs carefully before getting in the jacuzzi. If in doubt, stay out.
