| - What a giant bummer. I have shopped at this store for years, and loved it. Can't even imagine how many thousands of dollars I have spent here. One of the primary reasons I have be so pleased with this store is (or...should I say was....) their amazing return policy. Knowing that I can return items, tag in place, but without the receipt - without question, has kept me coming back week after week to discover what new items had arrived. What a great contrast to Ross....with their horrible no-receipt return policy...basically making any items without a receipt worthless. Well - it seems that my previously favorite secret shopping destination has now employed this nasty return tactic. After years of no-hassle returns, I was informed, for the first time, that an items without a receipt "that appeared to be old" had ZERO return value. The onsite manager, Cheryl, argued with me, and informed me in a rude and condescending fashion that this in fact has always been the policy. NOT! INCORRECT! WRONG! The store manager, Jacob, was called, and he agreed to give me partial credit. Huh? What the heck? It's really not about the money - it truly is an issue of principle. This store certainly has the right to change their return policy, but an individual onsite manager should not arbitrarily and selectively decide to invoke a new set of rules. Bye Bye, TJ Maxx in South Scottsdale....we certainly had some great times, but I can no longer be in a relationship with a store that I can't trust.
