Chocolate factory with the cutest gift shop and cafe on site. Free samples are given as you enter, which is always a nice treat since a box of their chocolates will set you back $40, ouch! They've remodeled within the last year or so and it looks fantastic! So much more welcoming and better use of the space they had before. The "tour" they mention is simply a walk down a short pathway looking through glass windows to see the assembly line of candy being prepared or boxed up. Usually takes a minute or two depending on how long you linger. Ethel M's offers a chocolate tasting experience now which seems very tempting.
My favorite part of visiting is during the holidays for the cactus garden all dressed up in Christmas lights. It's been a tradition for my family for years now. A great family activity for all ages. We love taking our family when they come to town to visit. Just make sure to dress warm. Temperatures drop quickly during the evenings around this time of year. They've added an ice rink and as always there's photos with Santa. Easy to see why my kiddos love it here. Don't forget to get some hot chocolate ($5 a cup) and photo op by the #ChocolateWall. Then take a stroll through the enchanting cactus garden. It's gorgeous.
Gift shop open: 8am-8pm
