A classic NYC Italian restaurant with a location in Las Vegas. The Vegas location is huge and very beautiful inside. Unlike NYC though, you can just walk right in and be seated without making a reservation two years ahead of time. I started off with the clams cooked in a garlic wine sauce expecting larger clams. Although they were the tiny ones, the dish itself was very good. Next came the Chicken Parm with spaghetti and a side order of meatballs. No complaints about either one of these either. My opinion is that if an Italian restaurant screws up meatballs and pasta, well what can they do right? In this case, they did it all right. I'm usually a Carmine's guy and gave this a shot. Although things were prepared slightly different, Carmine's does offer a larger portion for about 30% less. But the choice is yours here when it comes to that option since some do not care for family style dining like Carmine's and unlike Rao's. Ambience is much more romantic in Rao's, so bring your lover here.
