  • horrible customer service and safety issues ( Mark is great , owner NOT!) they replaced my rotors and pads on my daughters Santa Fe. Went to pick up in their parking lot and noticed that one of the nuts wasn't tightened and was sitting lose at the end of the stud. Nice safety issue. So they took it back in to tighten only to tell me that they had to replace it because it was stripped. Six days later, took the vehicle in to another shop for 4 new tires. The mechanic had difficulty removing the tire nuts (over tightened) which resulted in stripped studs. The mechanic showed me that one of the new studs (one that Midas replaced) had been cut in half. Apparently a shortcut to install the new stud otherwise the entire assembly has to be removed. Wow nice! Then the mechanic showed me that a bolt was missing from the "upper brake caliper". He said if we were traveling at highway speed and applied the brakes the caliper would come off and NO Brakes! Cost me 350.00 for them to fixed this mess. Went back to Midas and showed them photos of all of the problems as well as the mechanics report on the work performed. The owner Jim said I should have had the vehicle towed back to their shop for them to fix!. Wow, they want me to bring my vehicle to have them fix it! Jim the MIdas owner said while he doesn't agree with the practice of Cutting studs its ok and he wont take any responsibility for the damage or my repair costs! He then told me to take him to court. Nice! Not once did he ever ask what I was looking for in compensation, he just kept yelling at me like it was my fault ! When I first called to complain they had me confused with another service complaint so I may not be an isolated incident.
