  • I am always up for trying something new so when a fellow Yelper invited me to try goat yoga, I was like I'm in! Pretty easy process, you sign up on their website and create an account. The yoga session is $20 cash but when you create your account, you have to leave a card on file. This is in case you decide to not show up or don't cancel in time. Once you sign up, you receive a confirmation email with the location. We attended the sunset session and it was a bit chilly towards the end but overall we were comfortable. We arrived a little early and watched them set up. They haul the goats in a horse trailer and they all came running at once into the park. We were in an enclosed area. We brought our own mats and towels and this was a class of about 18 people along with the instructor and goats. We all had plenty of room to move around. It is fun to watch them ease the goats into the crowd. They shake the treat jar and they all come running. They climb on you and over you too! I probably did more socializing with the goats than yoga but I wasn't the only one! We were all given a handful of food to feed and once they saw us with food, we were tackled. Too funny! Then we began our yoga session. Most of the time the goats were munching on the grass and left us alone but I must of had some good grass under my mat as goats were nudging me the whole time! You do have to be careful of "raisins" = goat poop and "waterfalls" = goat pee. Both my friend and I were lucky. We did not get hit! Ha! Ha! But others did and they owner comes right over and cleans it up! The session itself is about 45 minutes long then the last 15 minutes you have time to pet and feed the goats if you want to along with pictures taking time. For something different, I found this yoga session super fun and therapeutic at the same time. If you are an animal lover, you should check this out as it is not so baaaaaad!
