  • Home warranty insurance company sent A1 as the third company to look at our garage to hopefully be able to replace broken parts of a Wayne Dalton torque master garage door since the other two companies recommended conversion to traditional springs to resolve the issue. First two companies (Cactus Garage & Vantage Garage) provided written estimates that ranged between $250-$300 w/o insurance company's participation. A1 comes in and initially gave an estimate of $1000 (one thousand dollars). Then we asked the technician, Shane D., why their price was extremely higher than the competitor. He went on giving this need to be replaced and that need to be replaced then he asked to see a written proof of previous companies that came out, so we showed him. Low and behold A1 dropped their price to $313 -what?!? Just like that! He stated that $313 will be our out-of-pocket and the insurance company will pay for the rest. Im no math genius but the figures didnt add up. So regardless with or without the Home warranty insurance, A1 was still hitting me up for $313 and then will go back to the insurance and gets addidtional funding. He gets on the phone after I informed him that we didn't want what the company was offering since: 1)they knew off the bat we were looking for replacement not conversion 2) in my eyes the face value of the company was dishonest (of course I didn't verbalize that). Upon listening to the conversion of the A1 tech with the insurance company, tech clearly secured that the "trip charge" was going to be paid by the insurance. Then after he hung-up the phone, he looked at me in the eye and said "ok so you guys would just have to pay me $20 since I came out here". Unbelievable! No, I didn't give him $20. I called the insurance company and non of what he pitched was worth trusting. Bottom line: CONSUMER BEWARE - Either this company is NATIONALLY DISHONEST or supports their DISHONEST employees. NOT BBB accredited as stated on webpage. Recommended Trusted local Las Vegas garage company: Cactus Garage and Vantage Garage
