  • Vetmed is GREAT! They are open 24/7 and have a regular clinic with specialty vets as well. I brought my very sick 12 year old Great Pyrenees in with pneumonia and a fever...they immediately put him in an oxygen kennel and took EXTREMELY great care of him for the 4 days he was there. The doctors and staff stabilized him enough for us to have him home when he passes. They will also let you visit you animal whenever you want, I suggest calling ahead of time to make sure they aren't busy first so you won't have to wait long. VetMed will be the first place I go if I have an emergency or need a specialist again!! After my boy passed away (had to put put him down) at his regular vet, I received a notice from the Phoenix Zoo saying there was a donation made in his name from Vetmed. It was something that made our day, thank you!
