| - I flew this airline once and had a good experience. Plane was on time both ways. So I told my wife that she should try it for a business trip to the Bay Area. Her meeting was mid-day, so she was supposed to fly in from Mesa in the morning and arrive in plenty of time. Turns out her first flight was delayed, then cancelled for mechanical problems. Then she waited for another plane, which was also cancelled for mechanical problems. Then the third plane was also delayed. By this time, there's no way the plane will even take off before her scheduled meeting in San Jose. So she asks several people at the counter in Mesa if she can get a refund, or at least a rain check. She's told to call Allegiant, because they are all "contractors" and can't make that decision. Long story -- she called but was told that she wouldn't receive any type of compensation, as the flight ultimately did take place, albeit many hours late. She lost all of her money, and will never, ever, fly with them again. Sometimes, you don't get what you pay for. Buyer beware.
