  • I just had an appt this morning for my son who needed a filling. The dental assistant today must be new, or doesn't have the proper training. My son for only being 3 was very calm when getting the laughing gas mask on and didn't even cry when getting an injection to numb him. He sat and took it like a champ. Dr. Andersen started working on the tooth and the assistant could not help the dentist like she needed and something the dentist asked for was empty so the assistant had to leave the room thus giving my son the opportunity to have free hands and rip out the mouth guard. At this point I feel everyone got frazzled and he began to scream while they placed another mouth guard.I had to hold his hands down while they finished the work. I feel like they weren't fully prepared for this procedure.
