| - This is a really fun store, and living around the corner from it for a few months was great. I've snagged some super interesting finds for good prices, and it's easy to lose an hour or two in here because it's got SO MUCH STUFF!!
The only drawbacks I'd mention are that the place is absolutely crammed and I feel like I'm missing great finds bc stuff is buried, it's hard to navigate the tiny available walking space without blocking someone's path, and some of the prices for things are wildly high. I'm a vintage collector and I'm very familiar with what a lot of the stuff in there is worth, so occasionally I'm like, "OMG," but that's standard for a vintage shop, a v minor complaint, and the price range in here makes it accessible no matter what budget you're working with. I think the owners work really hard to make this place welcoming and a different experience than a lot of other shops of its ilk in Toronto, and my comfort level in here is high. I never feel like I should have a grand in my pocket to justify being there.
Overall this place is a blast, has great staff and some true treasures. The $5 surprise bags are a cute touch and are one of the little extras that set this place apart and exemplify the down to earth vibe here. No worries about tip toeing around or not being able to touch things in this place. Make sure you go downstairs-the sets of dishes! The mirrors! Vintage Underwood typewriters! You'll definitely have a good time, no matter what you come out with.
