  • Very outraged! I have taken my dog to Oak Tree Veterinary formally know as Mandel Veterinary for several well checks since 2012 with Dr. Walker; who has since relocated. The new vet Dr. Carlson suggested having an oral cleaning for my 5 year old Dachshund. I agreed. When I took my dog for an oral cleaning on 12/13/16, I was livid to learn that he had 30 teeth extracted without my prior knowledge or consent. What turned out to be a cleaning and polishing was an $1,100 traumatic, life altering experience for my dog and family. I entrusted the Doctor and staff with my dogs oral care and received three different conflicting stories for this horrific experience. On top of that, when I went to pick up my dog, the vet tech continued to ridicule him saying, "He was just growling at me, I said how are you going to bite me, you don't have any teeth!" This 'Happy, healthy mouth' that they say he has is just a propaganda slogan and a way to capitalize on innocent pets. Be leery about taking your pets here!
