Cute place. Hit or Miss service. I called once to inquire if they still had Yoga. The woman that answered was curt and seemed annoyed that I asked about something they no longer do. It is so cute and charming you want to experience it. You want it to become your hangout. But it is like a bad friend who doesn't think you are so great too. We have been there 3-4 times. Once, they were open but not serving food. One time we waited to order coffee but was ignored. On another visit we had a real friendly guy that we chatted with. The last time we visited was MLK Day 2016. We stopped in to get coffee and deserts after the parade. Our teenager wanted lunch, so we were considering it. We were never greeted and because the barista was making a drink for someone else, we just waited. He didn't offer menus. We looked for them on our own. The barista never looked at us or even gave a slight nod, just continued his long conversation. After almost five minutes of being ignored we just left. It may not seem like a big deal to some but you do want to be acknowledged. Give a nod or smile. Throw in a "Welcome. I'll be right with you." Something. There are many places like this in other states. They are usually warm and/or upbeat. It is a shame that Mesa only has this one superficial charmer that lacks real warmth and welcome.
