  • First of all I'm pretty sure the previous positive reviews are fake and quite possibly entered by staff from a different IP address. When my girlfriend and I toured the property a year ago we were told about all the amenities. One of the big ones she like was the heated pool. The pool is NOT heated. If it is, it was obviously broken the entire time she lived there. Other than that and VERY noisey and RUDE neighbors and the security gate that is always on the fritz, it isnt a bad place. FAST FORWARD to the move out. My girlfriend moved out recently and wanted to do everything she could to go above and beyond to leave the place as it was when she moved in. We hired a carpet cleaning company and hired a cleaning service to clean after we were finished moving. I had her out of there by the move out date of the 12th. She moved into another Mark Taylor community and everything is great. A few days ago she gets a call from corporate to discuss the move out from a lady named SANDRA. SANDRA explained that the final charges were 350 and asked if she would like to go ahead and take care of that payment today. Like, who just says "Sure, which credit card would you like?" We asked for an itemized list of the charges and SANDRA emailed them. We figured there would be charges for new carpet and a repair done to the door. We did not think we would be charged $60.00 for cleaning and an additional $85.00 for rent. (She turned her key in a couple of days after we moved HOWEVER, THEY NEW WE WERE GONE BECAUSE THEY CAME INTO HER APARTMENT AND PULLED UP SOME OF THE CARPET) SANDRA said she would mail her pics of the cleaning they had to do and my girlfriend agreed to call her in a couple of days and discuss the issue. When my girlfriend recieved the photos and called SANDRA back to discuss the charges SANDRA became very rude!! When asked why they didnt provide a checklist of the items they sent pics of (approx 7 pieces of lint in the lint trap of the dryer, a few pieces of lint behind the dryer, a mark on the kitchen sink where a bottle of soap sat and what appeared to be urine in the toilet) SANDRA replied "If we did that we wouldnt be able to get any cleaning charges) RUDE!!!!! When my girlfriend tried to discuss it further SANDRA basically said that if she didnt agree with the charges then they would just outsource it to a collection company....Is this lady really BULLYING her into paying these charges? My girlfriend has no problem paying the fees. We just think the 60.00 cleaning fee is not necessary. I was BLOWN AWAY when I heard how SANDRA spoke to her and how she handled it. The District property itself is decent. The onsight staff is fine. SANDRA made the entire yearlong experience HORRIBLE!!!!! THANK YOU TO SANDRA for taking a decent experience and making SURE the experience with you is what we will remember most! (Now I'm going to spend the day copy and pasting this on every single site I can possibly find and we will tell EVERYONE we know that EVER asks about the experience we had with SANDRA.
