rev:text	it is one of the tallest towers on earth, after all. so anyone new to the city should at least climb this thing once. the elevator ride is almost as exciting as being on top of the world itself, and the windows on the elevator provide nice views and add to the thrill. the glass floor looking down from some 500m of height above ground is a recent (well, in the last 10 years or so?) but definitely great addition. everyone must at least step (or jump, if you dare) on it once. it is nice to have the two levels on the observation deck to allow indoor and outdoor views, but beware when weather is not ideal (ex. too windy, too cold?, T-storm?), they can close the outdoor level without notifying you till you got up there--so always ask before you buy the tickets. the night views of the tower is also nice, but nicer from the outside than from the inside. they have different colors of lights shooting up and down the tower, and the lights change colors every few seconds. however, some of these beautiful light works actually come from the outdoor (lower) deck level, so if you want to see the night view of the city, stay on the indoor (upper) floor, or all you'd see are the squares from wired fence reflecting the ever-changing lights. oh yeah, the glass floor is so much more dramatic during the day too, as you can see very clearly how the tower slides down onto the ground. can't see much in the night view. if you plan on going during the day (esp. weekends and in summer), it's much advised to get tickets in advance--well, i don't know if that's going to help you skip the elevator lines, actually. we just went on a sunday afternoon (3pm), and was told that there's an hour wait to go up to the deck. so we roamed around the city till 9pm and tried again; there was no wait then. lastly, for people who drive, there are parking lots and garages on the streets just a couple blocks away from the tower (south of King St W & east of Spadina Ave). the charge ranges from $5-12 a day, depending on the lot, but definitely cheaper than the garage right below the tower. however, this is only weekend rate; can't imagine what weekday rates are as this is downtown after all. but don't bother w/the meter spots as they cost about $3 an hour and you have to feed it till midnight, even on weekends--it's crazy!!
