We visited the store on Bloor street for about 5 minutes before we were kicked out because our 7 month old infant was crying. Credit to the 3 staff who collectively teamed up to help make our exit as quick as possible. You see, apparently this place runs a spa out of the back of the store. You'd never know it was there but clearly they've logically designed it to be open air so that whatever paying customer back there could be disturbed by noises from the shop floor (no we weren't shopping either just stopping by to deliberately cause our boy to cry in pain at the very moment). Let me explain something, when a 7 month old baby cries out, it's because something is hurting them. Babies can't talk, they cry in the way my child cried loudly to alert us that something is very wrong. Instead of asking the parents and baby to step out into -10C weather perhaps you can have enough empathy to understand that there is a human being in your store that might need some help. Hey maybe even asking if we needed some help would have been logical as a normal caring human being. If I was having a seizure would you have asked me to leave so as to not disturb the spa guest in the back, the "paying customer"?
This was by far the worse customer service experience I have ever had in a retail store. My wife went in there to spend money on products she regularly uses and purchases. You forcefully and deliberately kicked us out for tending to a crying infant. Next time you set up a secret spa at the back of a Guerlain store have the courtesy to put up a sign that lets store patrons know that their presence is worth the value of dirt.
