  • My wife and I started out our wedding anniversary weekend here at Cure on a Saturday night. She has had this restaurant bookmarked for about 3 years and we were waiting for that right occasion to finally come. It shouldn't have taken us this long to come here but it was so worth the wait! I made a reservation for this day about 4 weeks prior and it was for 645pm. We walked in and every table was full besides the one that was reserved for us. It's a smaller sized restaurant so you feel a little squished at first. There was a table of about 8 or 10 people to the left of us and they felt really close to us. They were a large group and kind of loud. Luckily they were about to leave and when they did it was a lot more peaceful for us. We ordered drinks and then a Bob Marley song came on! That was nice because we got married in Jamaica and we love Bob Marley's music now. That was really cool! We pretty much knew what we were going to order for our entrĂ©e but we weren't sure what to get for an appetizer. Their appetizers are under their snacks menu off of their A La Carte Dinner Menu. We looked at the menu and we weren't sure what was what. We asked our waiter about a few snacks and he described it very well to us. We ended up ordering the Bruleed Halloumi from their Snacks menu. I don't remember how our waiter described this dish but I do remember him saying cheese. We really didn't know what to expect. About ten minutes later a chef from the kitchen brought us our "Snack". There was a Bruleed Halloumi for each of us on our own plates which was so awesome! It looked really fancy and just outright beautiful. He described to us the dish again and I was very impressed. I love having that interaction with the chef. You can see the picture from my review on how this dish looks but it tasted so good. The cheese was delicious! There were other ingredients in there like a golden beet, concord grape, and thyme honey that went really well with the cheese. Just a great overall little dish. I could have eaten ten of these! We ordered our entrees next. My wife ordered their duck and I got their Hanger and I asked for it medium. They suggested medium rear but I still wanted medium. The entrees came out at a reasonable time and the same chef from the kitchen before brought them to us. He explained each dish and we were ready to dive in! Again the presentation and explanation of the dish was great. It made everything come together so wonderfully this night. My wife loved her duck. She is very picky with duck and she always compares it to her favorite duck at another restaurant. This was the best she said! It was so good I started eating her food LoL! My Hanger was great as well. So tender and it was melting in my mouth. I always know that portions aren't always that big in nice restaurants like this. That's why we ordered a snack before and maybe I should have ordered another one. It still was a good portion and it was filling for me. I just didn't eat anything most of the day to make sure I was hungry for the night but I didn't need to do that. I would have probably ordered dessert if we weren't going out to other places after this. Cure is probably the best restaurant we have ever been to together. Great restaurant but most of all a great restaurant experience for us. The pleasure of our waiter and the chef bringing us our food, the presentation, and him describing the dishes to us made the difference. I felt like we were on Master Chef! One minor concern is if you do bring your kids to dinner here to be careful in the men's room if you have a son. There is a picture of a topless woman above the urinal. We saw a few kids there too so just be careful if you bring you son into the men's room. I wish it didn't take us three years to come here. We will be back and looking forward to have another great restaurant experience here. Thanks Cure for making our Wedding Anniversary very special and memorable.
