| - Two BAD Visits in a row! Save your money!
Came here two weekends in a row for lunch. Both visits had terrible service and mediocre food.
Last weekend, we stopped in for an early lunch. We were the only table in the place until another group got seated after us. We came to enjoy BOTH the ambiance of the water and food. The service was bad. We ordered wine when we sat down which never came. It showed up with our food which was ordered well after the wine. The explanation was the the "hostess got busy and she's our bartender." Since there was no one there, it seems she was busy with people attending the FREE wine tasting they have. That's great but, what about us PAYING customers?
Today, it was a birthday and we tried again thinking it would be better. IT WAS WORSE THAN LAST WEEKEND. We had three people in our party, one person finally got their wine after 15 minutes. Again, the other 2 DRINKS NEVER CAME. After 20 minutes, our waiter said, "he'd check on it. Someone is making them now, I think." Did we get our drinks? Nope. I got up and spoke to the manager asking if we could please get our drinks (no food order had even been taken yet.) Again, this excuse was the same as last week's excuse, ""hostess got busy and she's our bartender. I'm helping here out now."
And today's food? We only ordered an appetizer and no more. Why? The bread was ROCK HARD and the 6 grapes we had were shriveled with BROWN STEMS. Awful.
As a manager, you need to recognize when you are short staffed and get the right help. He needs to pay attention and stop making excuses for poor service and focus before losing more customers.
WHY ARE YOU HAVING A HOSTESS DOUBLE AS A BARTENDER? Get a dedicated bartender or an extra staff person that does your drink orders! At $16 for a glass of wine you are charging LV Strip prices ~ you can afford proper staffing.
This isn't about a drink or food, it's about plain and simple customer service and appreciating your customers. There are WAY too may places to eat in this town to put up with this crap.
