  • I have to admit, I wondered what I had gotten us into after reading poor reviews about this place. But our visit was great! We stayed here Fri/Sat nights for a weekend. Check-in is usually 4 pm but Serene accommodated us with an early check-in at 1:30 pm. And, when the first key led to an unmade bed a room that hadn't yet been cleaned, we were bumped to an upgraded room for the "inconvenience" - even though the hotel was allowing us the convenience of checking in 2.5 hours early. I've never had that happen at a big casino. Our room had a big, comfy bed, a small closet with full-length mirrors, a jacuzzi tub in the corner of the bedroom, a huge bathroom with entry through two sides of the room, a waterfall shower, and a decently-sized living room. We were on the bottom floor so the sliding door opened to the patio area. There was also a small fridge and safe. Weirdly, the closet didn't have any hangers nor did room have any cups. But after a quick call to the front desk both were quickly delivered to the room. The pool looked lovely. While we didn't have time to try it, there were big, comfy beds set out to lounge in the sun. The lobby bar was empty. No glassware, no beverages, nada. It was really odd. But the Hard Rock Hotel is directly across the street from he front doors so no big deal. Planes fly overhead and sound loud outside but we barely heard anything from the room. The only reason I wouldn't give this hotel five stars was due to the wear and tear in the rooms. We didn't use the tub because the coating had peeled away from the edges, looking like something you wouldn't want to get cut on. There were minor holes in the fabric of the headboard and couch. Makeup on the wall. And the sink faucet made a horrendous noise if you turned it the wrong way. (The room could have used a few extra towel racks or hooks too - one on the back of a door didn't cut it.) So, not the fanciest place to stay. But it was lovely, quiet, in a great location and the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely come back.
